Digging Deeper | Finding God in Every Season
A simple, practical way to live out the truths from this week’s magazine.
Dear Friends,
When life is challenging, it’s easy to forget all the ways God has already been faithful. We focus on the struggle in front of us and wonder if He’s still there. But here’s the truth: God’s faithfulness doesn’t change just because our circumstances do.
In this week’s Just Between Us magazine, Lori Ann Wood took us on a journey through The Voyage of Life paintings, showing how God is present in every season of our lives—even when we struggle to see Him. If you haven’t read it yet, you can catch up here:

5 Ways to Remember God’s Faithfulness
Many of us know that God is faithful, but when we're in the middle of a difficult season, it can be hard to see. Doubt creeps in, and we wonder if He’s really working behind the scenes. But God’s past faithfulness is the greatest evidence of His future faithfulness—we just need to pause and remember.
Here are five practical ways to reflect on and trust His faithfulness, helping you stay anchored in your faith, even in uncertain times.
💡 1. Keep a Faithfulness Journal
Write down moments—big or small—where you've seen God provide, protect, or guide you. When doubt creeps in, revisit your journal as a reminder that He has been faithful before, and He will be again.
📖 2. Look to Scripture
The Bible is filled with stories of God's unwavering faithfulness. Read through:
Reflect on how God’s promises still apply today.
🗣️ 3. Share Your Story
Testify to God’s faithfulness! Share with a friend, family member, or small group how you’ve seen God at work in your life. Speaking about it aloud strengthens our own faith and encourages others.
🎵 4. Worship Through Song
Music has a way of reminding us of truth. This week’s Song of the Week, "Great Is Thy Faithfulness", is a powerful way to reflect on who God is and how He remains constant. Take a few moments to listen and let the lyrics sink in.
🛑 5. Pause and Pray
Spend intentional time in prayer, asking God to help you trust in His faithfulness. If you're struggling to see it, ask Him to open your eyes to the ways He’s at work in your life right now.
Great Is Thy Faithfulness by Carrie Underwood
When life feels unpredictable, His love remains constant. When we struggle to see the way forward, His provision is already there.
As you listen to Carrie Underwood’s powerful rendition, take a moment to reflect on how God has been faithful to you. Where have you seen His hand at work? Let these lyrics remind you that no matter what season you’re walking through, the same faithful God who has carried you before will carry you again.
Lord, thank You for being a faithful God. Even when life feels uncertain, You never change. Help me to recognize Your hand at work in my life, even in seasons where I struggle to see it. Fill my heart with trust, and remind me of the countless ways You have shown up for me before. Let me be someone who testifies to Your goodness, encouraging others with the truth of Your faithfulness. Today, I choose to rest in the assurance that You are always with me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
🌱 Faithfulness Challenge
Before today ends, take five minutes to write down three times God has been faithful in your life. Maybe it was a time He provided, protected, or gave you peace in a storm.
Keep this list somewhere visible as a reminder that the same God who was faithful then is still faithful now!
💬 What’s one moment of God’s faithfulness that stands out to you? Feel free to share in the comments or with a friend—your testimony could be the encouragement someone else needs today!
