Day 3 | Growing in the Word
Bible Study with Others is Always Worth it.
Dear Friends,
Welcome to Day 3 of Growing in the Word. So far, we’ve looked at how to read the Bible consistently and how to study it for ourselves. Today, we shift our focus to something equally important: studying God’s Word together.
Mary Carver reminds us that while personal discipline matters, none of us were meant to grow in isolation. Life is busy, distractions are constant, and our best intentions can quickly slip away. But when we study the Bible with others—whether in a small group, with a friend, or even online—we find encouragement, accountability, and new insights that we’d likely miss on our own.
It’s not always convenient to carve out time or open our hearts in community, but the return is worth it. God often uses the voices of others to strengthen our own faith and to help us see Him more clearly.
As you read today’s devotion, consider this: who in your life could you invite to join you in opening God’s Word? Growth is richer when we walk together.
Encouraging you in community,
The Just Between Us Team
