Dear Friends,

Welcome to Day 2 of our new year journey. Yesterday we reflected on what it means to begin again; today we turn toward something just as tender—learning to watch for the quiet, unhurried ways God begins something new in us.

So often His renewal doesn’t arrive with fanfare. It comes softly…
as a shift in our perspective,
a softening of the heart,
a gentle stirring we can’t yet name.

Before the “new thing” becomes visible, God is already preparing the soil of our souls.

Today, Sandy Mayle invites us to notice those beginnings—not with fear or reluctance, but with generosity, eagerness, and openhearted trust. Her story reminds us that God is faithfully at work in every transition, every unknown, every unexpected shift in our lives.

As you read, may you sense God’s nearness in the quiet places of your day.
You don’t have to force anything.

Simply pay attention.

Encouraging you in God’s truth,
Your JBU Sisters in Christ ❤️
