Disagreement doesn't mean a lack of love. We disagree with our spouses and other family members as well. When things are so polarized as in these current times we must remember that we are all God's children and he loves us even as we disagree with each other. A genuine "I love you" said in tense moments can change attitudes from bitterness to calm and peace. Jesus has already set the example! We need only follow him.

Thanks Maxine for that wonderful perspective. YES, we love the reminder that we can disagree and still love.

Thank you…. I appreciate the reminder that love is our calling. I think being curious about another persons point of view is helpful.

We completely agree—approaching others with curiosity and a genuine interest in their point of view really does make all the difference. It’s such a beautiful way to live out our calling to love others. Thank you for sharing that insight!

Let’s get the conversation started! How do you personally navigate loving others when you deeply disagree? Have you ever found common ground in a heated discussion, or is it challenging for you to show grace in those moments? Feel free to share a story or offer a bit of encouragement to someone else wrestling with this tension! Let’s build each other up as we reflect on how to extend love beyond the barriers of differing views.
