Hi Friends!
Isn’t summer a wonderful time to celebrate? The calendar seems to fill up with weddings, graduations, family vacations, reunions, cookouts, and evenings spent lingering on the porch with people we love. There’s something about this season that invites us to slow down, catch our breath, and notice the many ways God has been good to us.
But celebration isn’t just for special occasions. It’s something God has always invited His people to embrace. When we pause to celebrate, we remember His faithfulness, thank Him for His goodness, and find fresh joy for the days ahead. Celebration lifts our eyes from our to-do lists and reminds us that every good gift comes from Him.
So, sometime this week, find a quiet place to meet with the Lord. Maybe it’s your porch swing, a shady spot under a tree, your favorite chair by an open window, or a peaceful corner of the patio. Pour yourself a glass of lemonade, iced tea, or whatever makes you smile, and spend a few moments resting in His presence.
Over the next five days, we hope you’ll discover that celebration is more than an event—it’s a way of living that draws us closer to the heart of God. Our prayer is that these devotions will refresh your soul, renew your gratitude, and help you see the countless reasons He gives us to rejoice each day.

Here’s How It Works
Beginning Monday, August 3rd, you’ll receive one email each day for five days as we walk through what it means to live a life marked by celebration.
Each day will include a short devotional, Scripture, reflection questions, practical ways to celebrate, and a prayer to help you notice God’s goodness in both ordinary moments and meaningful milestones.
Together, we’ll explore how God created us to celebrate, how Jesus modeled joy, how we can celebrate even in uncertain seasons, and how celebration can become a rhythm of gratitude, remembrance, and hope.
On Day 5, JBU Members will also receive access to a downloadable 15-minute Bible study to help you continue reflecting on the gift of praise and choosing a life of celebration.
