Celebrating Connie Fink's Legacy
In Loving Memory | 1954-2025
Dear Just Between Us Community,
With both sadness and deep gratitude, we honor the life and legacy of our dear friend and longtime Just Between Us (JBU) contributor, Connie Fink, who recently went to be with the Jesus she so dearly loved and served. Connie was more than a gifted writer and editor—she was a radiant light, pouring her heart into every word she wrote and every person she encountered.
For decades, she faithfully served this ministry, sharing wisdom, encouragement, and an infectious love for Jesus. Her impact on the JBU community is immeasurable, and her friendship was a cherished gift—especially to our staff.
Not only was Connie a talented writer, but she was also a meticulous editor. Her fingerprints can be found throughout the pages of our magazine over the last several decades. With unwavering dedication, she carefully combed through every word, ensuring that readers were pointed to Christ and encouraged in their everyday faith—all as a volunteer!
Today, we celebrate Connie’s enduring legacy by sharing one of her beloved articles. As we remember her—through her own words—we thank God for the incredible mark she has left on women around the world. We pray that her inspiring words will continue to point you to Jesus and bless and encourage you as they have us!
Thank you, Connie!
The Greatest Day Ever
By: Connie Fink
Childcare. Elder care. A job that feels like work. You name it. The daily grind repeats itself week after week. Maybe even year after year. Same routine. Same concerns. Same weariness. Yes, the joys are there but may feel buried under responsibilities and stresses.
We look for something more. Something different. We plan trips to get away. Adventures to spark our excitement.
But, oh Christ-follower, there is a day coming! A day beyond our imagination. The greatest day ever!
Here is a glimpse:
Then I (John) looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they were saying: ‘Worthy is the Lamb (Jesus), who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!’ Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: ‘To him (the Father) who sits on the throne and to the Lamb (the Son) be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever’ (Rev. 5:11-13)!
Can you imagine so many voices in unison? Ten thousand times ten thousand voices.
In a crescendo of worship.
Expressing praise for the victorious power and matchless greatness of God the Father and God the Son.
Our voices will be uninhibited. Our excitement will never end. Our joy will be exuberant. Our freedom will be out of this world. And the best part…our gratitude will be personal. (I got goosebumps just writing that.)
Back to today's daily grind. This One—this great God—is with you. Keep your eyes above as you do life for Him. Doing life for Him makes a “grueling” day a “great” day.
And remember, the greatest day ever is yet to come…and it is certain! Maybe sooner than we think. Will you be with us around the throne?
Connie’s deep love for her Savior shone through in the way she lived and shared His message with everyone. Her words remain a lasting gift of encouragement and faith. Because there were too many favorites to choose from, here is a link to her works with Just Between Us over the years on our ministry website.
