I come before You today with a heart full of gratitude for Your Word, which is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Thank You for the gift of Scripture, that it is alive and active, breathing life into my soul. As I meditate on Your laws and precepts, may they refresh and renew me, guiding me in righteousness.
Help me to absorb Your truth deeply, so I may be equipped for every good work You have prepared for me. Let Your commands bring joy to my heart and light to my eyes, illuminating my way in this world. Remind me of the preciousness of Your Word, sweeter than honey and more valuable than gold, and inspire me to share its wisdom with those around me who need encouragement.
May Your Spirit dwell richly within me, transforming my heart and mind, and empowering me to live out Your teachings daily. I ask this in the name of Jesus, who is the Word made flesh.
Day 2=I learned that God's Laws can bring much happiness, and refreshment to my soul. God's Words speak of wisdom, and are firm, withstanding anything! I run to them for guidance and they help me to cope in the storms of life.

(Psalm 19:7-11) was exactly what I needed to read this morning. I have been struggling to find the right words to pray over my alcoholic prodigal son, Matthew. His life is broken and his health is failing.
My renewed prayer for him will be to ask our Father to make Matt’s soul wise, to give joy to his heart, give light to his eyes, to renew the fear/awe of God in his heart and that the Lord would give him strength and the desire to keep God’s Word.
Thank you for sharing your heart so openly. I can feel the weight of your struggle and the deep love you have for Matthew. It’s truly powerful to see how you are turning to God’s Word for guidance and strength in this difficult time. Your renewed prayer for him is beautiful and full of hope.
